This Friday, to celebrate with SMU, Highland Park, and University Park, DART is hosting a 40th Anniversary block party on Friday, Nov. 10, from 5-7:30 p.m. at SMU/Mockingbird Station.

Celebrate at the DART block party before heading over to the SMU vs. UNT game. We will be having a raffle, fun games, and prizes as well as promotional giveaways.

Thursday, Nov. 9-Sunday, Nov. 12

World Food Championships presents a 10-category culinary competition with more than 1,500 chefs from all over the globe fighting it out to get their piece of the event’s $300,000 purse. Check out the foodie action – while enjoying some tasty bites yourself, of course – at Centennial Hall at Fair Park. Get to the venue by taking the Green Line to Fair Park Station.

Ali Wong is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. She’s best known for her two hit Netflix specials and for her voice work in Tuca and Bertie. She performs this Friday night at the Music Hall at Fair Park, a short walk from the Green Line’s Fair Park Station.

Chaplin tells the story of the iconic silent film star, from his first performance in Victorian London to his honorary Academy Award in 1972. Along the way, you’ll meet some of the luminous personalities of Charlie Chaplin’s life and times. You can catch it through Nov. 19 at Addison’s WaterTower Theatre. The venue is walkable from Addison Transit Center – served by DART Bus Routes 22, 200, 202, 227, 229, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, and 305.

When You Wish Upon a Star celebrates 100 years of Disney through the lens of jazz. The music from some of Disney’s most beloved films has been interpreted by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Dianne Reeves and more. Those versions, in turn, will be interpreted by the house band of The National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Experience the performance at Richardson’s Eisemann Center, right across the plaza from Galatyn Park Station on the Red Line.

Director's Choice is Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s curated showcase featuring a diverse range of innovative talents, each with their own fresh perspective and voice. See it at Wyly Theatre in the Dallas Arts District. You can walk there from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines, or from the M-Line trolley.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, based on the popular film, takes the audience to the French Riviera for hijinks and hilarity with two con men and an heiress. The suave comedy features a jazzy score and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards. See the performance through Nov. 18 at the Irving Arts Center, accessible by Bus Route 229 departing from Dallas College North Lake Campus Station on the Orange Line.

Saturday, Nov. 11

The Trains at NorthPark includes 1,600 feet of track rolling from coast to coast on a whimsical rail journey across America – from the autumn foliage of New England to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge with many stops along the way. DART is proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas to sponsor the event. Be sure to check out our DART car! The awesome display opens this Saturday and runs through Jan. 5 at NorthPark Center. To get to the mall, take the Red or Orange line to Park Lane Station, then get on the NorthPark Shuttle (Bus Route 402).

Eden Muñoz comes to Irving in support of his 2022 album, Consejos Gratis. See the popular Norteño-Banda artist at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, walkable from the Orange Line’s Irving Convention Center Station. You can also take Bus Route 227.
